(Apex), is pleased to provide Moore Petroleum (Moore) this Workplan for limited subsurface investigation at the subject site (Figure 1). This workplan is .written in t response to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) letter responding to our June 1, 1999 report in a letter dated July 12, 1999. The County's letter } requested six items that need to be addressed: A copy of the County's July 12 letter is presented in Appendix A. This Workplan will address all the concerns referenced in this letter. The proposed investigation includes drilling four soil borings, convert the four soil borings.into groundwater monitoring wells, and collecting groundwater samples from each of the four wells (Figure 2). The purpose of the investigation is to assess the lateral and vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbons in the shallow groundwater adjacent to the site. This report is based, in part, on information obtained from Moore Petroleum, and is subject to modification as newly acquired information may warrant. BACKGROUND Apex began work on the project with the groundwater monitoring conducted on January 14, 1994. Prior to Apex, work conducted at the site included subsurface investigations and groundwater monitoring by Earth Treatment Systems, Inc., of Manteca, California; Delta Environmental Consultants, Inc., of Rancho Cordova, California; Nations Groundwater
