(Apex) is pleased to provide Moore Petroleum (Moore) with this report documenting the results of soil and groundwater sampling conducted to define the lateral and vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbons beneath the site (Figure 1). A representative of San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (County) was present during the soil and groundwater sampling events. This report also documents the results of the second quarter groundwater monitoring for the subject property that included collection of depth-to- groundwater measurements and groundwater samples from monitoring wells MW-1 and MW-3. This report is based, in part, on information obtained from Moore Petroleum, and is subject to modification as newly acquired information may warrant. BACKGROUND Apex began work on this project with groundwater monitoring conducted on January 14, 1994. Prior to Apex, work conducted at the site included subsurface investigations and groundwater monitoring by Earth Treatment Systems, Inc., of Manteca, California; Delta Environmental Consultants, Inc., of Rancho Cordova, California; Nations Groundwater Associates of Sacramento, California; and Aegis Environmental, Inc. (Aegis), of Roseville, California, Site details may be found in the Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report, dated April 18, 1991, submitted to Moore Petroleum by Aegis.
