ad <br /> Second Quarter 1998 Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> Moore Petroleum,Inc.,5491 T"Street,Banta,CA <br /> Page 3 <br /> Groundwater Sam lin and Analysis <br /> On April 30, 1998, Apex personnel collected groundwater samples from monitoring wells MW-1 <br /> and MW-4 in accordance to the Apex SOP included as Appendix A. The samples were <br /> submitted, under chain-of-custody documentation, to California Laboratory Services of Rancho <br /> ' Cordova, California, a state-certified analytical laboratory. The samples were analyzed for <br /> concentrations of total petroleum hydrocarbons, as gasoline(TPHg) and diesel (TPHd), by <br /> Modified EPA Method 8015; benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes and MTBE by EPA <br /> Method 8020. The analytical results are summarized in Table 2. Figure 4 shows the distribution <br /> of TPHg, TPHd, benzene and MTBE in groundwater on April 30. 1998. The laboratory <br /> analytical reports and chain-of-custody form are included in Appendix B. <br /> j r <br /> RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> ' Apex submitted a workplan for excavation of petroleum-impacted soil and removal of petroleum- <br /> impacted groundwater dated September 10, 1997. SJCEH responded to our workplan with a <br /> letter dated October 29, 1997.
