(Fund Claim -4 889) 5491 "F" Street, Banta, California Apex Project No. ERA02.004 Dear Ms. Trinh: y' Apex Envirotech, Inc. (Apex), has been authorized by Moore Petroleum, Inc. (Moore Petroleum) to provide you with the following requested information for pre-approval. The additional s information consists of a risk-based corrective action (RBCA) assessment of the subject site (Figure 1). The RBCA assessment was performed with the use of a computer model. The purpose of this assessment is to establish site-specific cleanup goals for the site. The results of the assessment indicate that the level of the soil and groundwater impact in and around monitoring well MW-I (Figure 2), and the close proximity of the domestic wells to the site, warrant an over- excavation and de-watering of the impacted soil and groundwater around monitoring well MW-1 (Figure 2). This report is based, in part, on information obtained from Moore Petroleum- and is subject to modification as newly acquired information may warrant. BACKGROUND Apex began work on the project with the groundwater monitoring conducted on January 14, 1994. Prior to Apex, work conducted at the site included subsurface investigations and �_,roundwater monitoring by Earth Treatment Systems, Inc., of Manteca, California; Delta Environmental Consultants. Inc. (Delta), of Rancho Cordova. California-, Na-.;ons Groundwater _Ilssociates of Sacramento, California; and Aeais Environmental, Inc. (Aegis). of Roseville, o California.
