Results Report and First Quarter 2001 Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> Moore Petroleum Bulk Plant,5491 F Street,Banta,California <br /> Page 3 i <br /> Apex submitted the Workplan for Limited Subsurface Investigation dated August 6, 1999, <br /> proposing the installation of four additional groundwater monitoring wells. <br /> Apex submitted the Workplan for Limited Subsurface Investigation dated April 27, 2000, <br /> proposing the installation of three additional groundwater monitoring wells and one deep soil <br /> boring. <br /> f <br /> On July 25 and 26, 2000 Apex personnel supervised the installation of three groundwater <br /> monitoring wells (MW-10, MW-11, and MW-12). The results of all soil and water sampling were <br /> documented in the report entitled Results Report for Limited Subsurface Investigation and Third <br /> Quarter 2000 Groundwater Monitoring Report dated August 25, 2000. <br /> 3 <br /> Apex submitted the Workplan for Interim Remediation & 4'h Quarter 2000 Groundwater <br /> .Monitoring Report dated November 17, 2000, proposing the installation of three remediation <br /> wells (RW) and one vapor extraction well (VEW), using the three RW wells for a pumping test. <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health responded and only wanted one remediation well <br /> installed for the pumping test and depending on the results, more RW's could be installed. <br /> i <br /> SUBSURFACE INVESTIGATION <br /> Well Installation r <br /> On January 8, 2001, Apex advanced two soil borings for the purpose of installing an interim <br /> remediation system at the site (Figure 3). VEW-2 was drilled as a four-inch diameter well to a <br /> depth of 20 feet below grade surface (bgs) with 15 feet of screen. RW-2 was drilled as a six-inch <br /> diameter well to a depth of 30 feet bgs with 20 feet of screen. The borings were drilled and <br /> constructed by Woodward Drilling, Inc. of Rio Vista, California according to the Apex Standard 1 <br /> Operating Procedure (SOP) included as Appendix A.
