(Apex), has been authorized by Moore Petroleum (Moore) to provide this <br /> report regarding quarterly groundwater monitoring conducted on November 1, 2001. The <br /> monitoring,included collection of depth-to-water measurements and groundwater samples from <br /> monitoring wells MWA;MW-2,MW-3, MW-4A,MW-5,MW77 through MW-12, recovery well <br /> RW-2, and vapor extraction well VEW-2, at the subject site (Figures 1 and 2). In addition, the <br /> domestic well at 5451 F Street was sampled. MW-6 could not be located and was not sampled <br /> this quarter. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Apex began work on this project with the groundwater monitoring conducted on January 14, <br /> 1994. Prior to Apex, work conducted. at the site included subsurface investigations and <br /> groundwater monitoring by Earth Treatment Systems, Inc., of Manteca, California; Delta <br /> Environmental Consultants, Inc., of Rancho Cordova, California; Nations Groundwater <br /> Associates of Sacramento, California; and Aegis Environmental, Inc. (Aegis), of Roseville, <br /> California. Site details may be found in the Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report, dated, <br /> April 18, 1991, submitted to Moore by Aegis. <br /> On May 5, 1995, a soil vapor extraction,system consisting .of an R.S.I.. SAVE system was <br /> installed at the subject site. The vapor extraction system was installed per San Joaquin Valley <br /> Unified Air Pollution Control District (SJVUAPCD) Permit conditions. The vapor extraction <br /> system consisted of an internal combustion engine with catalytic converters mounted. on the <br /> `-- exhaust.
