- Fourth Quarter 2001 Groundwater Monitoring Report Moore Petroleum Bulk Plant,5491 F Street,Banta,California Page 4 GROUNDWATER MONITORING Groundwater Levels On November 1,2001,Apex personnel collected depth to water measurements from groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1, MW-2, MW-3, MW-4A, MW-5, MW-7 through MW-12), recovery well RW-2, and one vapor extraction well (VEW-2). All depth to groundwater were measured to the nearest 0.01 foot, referenced to the surveyed top-of-casing elevations, and conducted according to the Apex standard operating procedures (SOP) included as Appendix A. Groundwater level measurements collected by Apex are summarized in Table 1 and field data sheets are included as Appendix B. Figure 3 is a groundwater contour map of the shallow water-bearing zone on November 1, 2001, and shows groundwater flow beneath the subject site to be towards the northeast at an approximate hydraulic gradient of 0.002 ft/ft. Groundwater Sampling and Analysis Apex personnel collected groundwater samples from monitoring wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-3, MW-4A, MW-5, MW-7 through MW-12, RW-2, VEW-2, and the off-site domestic well according to the Apex SOP included in Appendix A.
