RO#0001668
Stockton, CA. 95205 PR#: 0523422
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) has reviewed
Limited Site Assessment Report (Septic Tank Area) dated March 25, 2005 as
submitted by Advanced GeoEnviron mental Inc (AGE) and has the following
comments.
Soil sample laboratory analytical results indicate that chemicals associated with
the clandestine lab activities were not detected in any of the five soil borings
("SB-1" thru "SB-5") from under the septic tank, connecting line, and seepage pit.
EHD has concluded that the underground injection control (UIC) soil investigation
has adequately identified that the contamination noted in the septic tank has not
migrated thru the septic system and impacted the soil.
EHD has concluded that no further UIC/drug lab soil investigation is required at
this time for the septic system servicing Sierra Motel units 1 thru 4.
Unfortunately, the underground septic line from the septic tank to the seepage pit
was damaged from the digging to expose this undocumented system (no
SJCEHD permit on file) and will need repair or replacement before the septic
system can be used again.
This septic system is inoperable and the four units (rooms #1 thru #4) that
were serviced by this system cannot be occupied until this system is
repaired or replaced under a permit issued by SJCEHD. Please contact
Michael Huggins at (209) 468-3437 to determine what actions will be required to
provide these units with an adequate septic system.
Prior to providing a letter stating no further investigation of the site is required the
EHD account balance for soil investigation inspections and review of reports
charges must be paid in full. Enclosed please find your final bill. Once this
balance has been paid, EHD will issue the `no further action required' letter and
this site's status on the database will show `closed'.
