The site is
predominantly located within the Southwest i of Section 9, Township 1 South,
Range 8 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian. This property and the surrounding
area is zoned GA-40 (Agricultural) . The topography of this location is very
flat with the gradient of approximately 0.0017 sloping from east to west. There
are no waterways or drainage channels crossing the property. The topographic
soils map prepared by the University of California at Berkeley indicates the
site is largely covered by Landlow clay (adobe) soils with smaller areas being
covered by Stockton clay (adobe) and Nord-Stockton Complex soils. For the past
18 years, the subject property has been planted to vineyards. Prior to that
time, the land was used for the cultivation of row crops or pasture. On Febru-
ary 13, 1990, measurements were taken by Pacific Gas & Electric Company which
revealed the standing water level of irrigation wells within the subject site to
be at a depth of 86 to 87 feet. This relates to a groundwater elevation of
approximately -20.
Attached is a copy of a percolation test performed on June 21, 1990 by
R. W. Siegfried & Associates, Consulting Civil Engineers. This test hole
reveals that the surface soils are underlain by sandy soils at a depth of
approximately three (3') feet. The observed percolation rate was 9.1 minutes
per inch.
(Cont'd.)
MAIN OFFICE 4045 CORONADO AVENUE STOCKTON,CALIFORNIA 952042398 Telephone(209)9432021 FAX Telephone(209)942-0214
TRACY BRANCH OFFICE 3120 TRACY BOULEVARD,SUITE D TRACY,CALIFORNIA 953761719 Telephone(209)835-5300
