As specified
in the agreement, groundwater samples were taken from three monitoring
wells designated as MW-1, MW-3, and MW-4. A travel blank designated
MW-12 and a blind duplicate sample designated MW-13 were also submitted
for analysis. All of the samples were analyzed at a Department of
Health Services-certified laboratory for the following parameters :
Conductivity, pH, Total Dissolved Solids, Total Copper, Total Nickel ,
Total Lead and Hexavalent Chromium. The three sampled wells were also
sounded to determine groundwater elevation.
The groundwater samples were collected on August 23, 1988 and taken to
California Analytical Laboratories in West Sacramento. Appropriate
chain of custody was maintained. A summary of the results is presented
in Table 1, and a copy of the laboratory report is attached.
There were a couple of changes made in the second quarterly sampling
from the first quarterly sampling. In the first change, the analytical
method for lead was changed from EPA Method 200.7 to EPA Method 239.2.
The test method was changed to lower the detection limits of the
analysis. In the second change, all of the surveying data for the
monitoring wells were measured from the top of the Christy Boxes
covering the monitoring wells. In the first quarterly sampling the
depth to groundwater was measured from the top of the well casing rather
than from the top of the Christy Box. The difference in the elevation
from the top of the well casing to the top of the Christy Box for each
of the monitoring wells has been adjusted and these changes have been
corrected on the first quarterly table (see attached)
Consulting Engineers.Geologists Q
and Environmental Scientists
Offices in Other Principal Cities _
