As specified
in the agreement, groundwater samples were taken from three monitoring
wells designated as MW-1, MW-3, and MW-4. A travel blank designated
MW-12 and a blind duplicate sample designated MW-13 were also submitted
for analysis. All of the samples were analyzed at a Department of
Health Services-certified laboratory for the following parameters :
Conductivity, pH, Total Dissolved Solids, Total Copper, Total Nickel ,
Total Lead and Hexavalent Chromium. The three sampled wells were also
sounded to determine groundwater elevation.
The groundwater samples were collected on November 30, 1989 and taken to
California Analytical Laboratories in West Sacramento. Appropriate
chain of custody was maintained. -A summary of the results is presented
in Table 1, and a copy of the laboratory report is attached.
During the analysis of the groundwater samples collected for the seventh
quarter, the laboratory exceeded the hold time for TDS by one day. This
was brought to the attention of Ms. Lorna Kirby of your department. Ms.
Kirby did not believe that exceeding the hold time by one day for TDS
would adversely affect the analytical results, and it would be
acceptable to submit the current analytical data.
Should you have any questions, please call me.
Sincerely,
Christopher L.
