Bid Request, Well Destructions
San Joaquin County
T Pic roup, InEnvironmental Health Department DIRECTOR neran, REHS
4 '4' ' y Rd. Suite H 600 East Main Street
.
ss. A 95949 Stockton, California 95202-3029 PROGRAM COORDINATORS
Robert McCleilon,REHS
Or D' ite 110 Nofth FilbertStreet,-- Jeff Carruesco, REHS, RDI
Sornia Website: www.sjgov.org/ehd Kasey Foley,REHS
IV
Phone: (209) 468-3420
Please provide cost per foot for well des rVHi&*MffNV8
General Information
A total of 40 boreholes are located on and off-site consisting of 59 casings.
Off-Site
Boreholes located off-site will need to be pressure grouted from total depth to 5 feet below ground
surface (ft-bgs). The top five feet over-drilled using the original size borehole drill bit. Nested wells off-
site can also be destroyed in the same matter.
On-Site
Non nested wells located on-site will need to be over-drilled to total depth using the original size
borehole drill bit.
Nested wells on-site will need to be destroyed by wire line explosives. Local oversight requires nested
well destruction to utilize a larger diameter auger than original borehole. As shown in attached table
nested wells can reach depths'-up to 150 ft-bgs and would require a 12-14 inch auger.
Sediment Removal
In addition, wells highlighted on the''table have sediment obstructing the screened interval. The
sediment will need to be removed before commencing well destructions as required by the county.
Waste
Waste derived from well destruction activities will disposed of in drums on-site.
Site Characteristics
All on-site features are located within a locked fenced area. There is no water available on-site, but
there is electricity. Off-site locations are located either in Caltrans or City of Stockton right of way. SGI
will procure necessary encroachment and destruction permits.
I have attached a Site Plan showing well locations and a table detailing well depths and borehole
diameters.
