GROUNDWATER SAMPLE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS
During the soil assessment activities, one grab ground water sample will be collected from each soil
boring(Figure 2).Grab ground water sample collection procedures are presented in Section 4.3.The
grab ground water samples will be analyzed by a DHS-certified laboratory for the
following constituents:
• TPH-all by EPA Method 8020 in accordance with EPA Method 8015M;
• Volatile organic compounds,including benzene,toluene,ethylbenzene and xylenes(BTEX),
and the fuel additives tertiary butanol(TBA),di-isopropyl ether(DIPE),ethyl tert-butyl ether
(ETBE), tert-amyl methyl ether (TAME), methyl tertiary- butyl ether (MTBE),
1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) and 1,2-dibromoethane (EDB) in accordance with EPA
Method 8260B; and
• Cam 17 metals in accordance with EPA Method 6010 and
• Hexavalent chromium by EPA Method 7196.
Laboratory reports documenting ground water analytical results, testing methods, laboratory quality
assurance/quality control (QA/QC) Wins, and sample chain of custody documentation will be
presented in a report with the findings and recommendations.
3.4. REPORT PREPARATION
Upon completion of field work and receipt of final laboratory analysis, a report will be prepared
presenting the findings of the investigation. The report will include a description of the work
performed and results of the sampling and analysis. Conclusions, applicable recommendations, and
maps will be included in the report.
4.0. FIELD PROCEDURES
All field procedures will be overseenby an AGE representative under the supervision of a California
Registered Geologist. Procedures for the advancement of borings, soil sampling, equipment
decontamination and sample shipment are outlined below.
