This work plan
will focus on defining the vertical extent of petroleum constituents in 14roundwater beneath the
r former tank and pump area, and the downgradient lateral extent of po.troleum constituents in
groundwater. In addition, detailed lithologic information will pe obtained by Cone
t
Penetrometer Testing (CPT) to increase our understanding of the hydrogeology beneath the
site. Results of this field investigation will be used to determine the appropriate next step for
additional site activities.
As recommended, this work plan has been prepared following guidelines outlined in
Recommendations for Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation of Underground Tank Sites,
Appendix A, prepared by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board
(CVRWQCB).
In support of initiating fieldwork, we would appreciate review and approval of this work plan
by September 15, 1999. Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
Steven P.
