U,
-------------
Mike Infurna [EH]
From: Joseph Salazar Usalazar@lbbslaw.com] ,
Sent: Friday, May 27,2011 3:59 PM
To: Mike Infurna[EH]
Subject: RE: Meeting-Del Monte property meet
Mike. This is extremely helpful and I will not need t` meeYwith you next week. Many
thanks, g
Joe
From: "Mike Infurna [EH]" <MInfurna@sjcehd.com>
To: "Joseph Salazar" <jsalazar@lbbslaw.com>
Date: 5/27/20112:44 PM
Subject: RE: Meeting - Del Monte property .
Mr. Salazar,
this site received a No Further Action status with significant levels of petroleum still left in some
the groundwater. If I'remember correctly up to 29,000 ug/I of TPH as gasoline remained. But
based on the declining trend of concentrations due to natural attenuation/bio-reduction since a
long while ago, the estimated time for the groundwater to reach Water Quality Objectives
(WQO) was favorable, that is 'reasonable', as defined by most current State Water Board
'policy'. Also of a concern at this site was dichloroethane (1,2-DCA). Typically used as a lead
scavenger in gasoline, this chemical has a very low WQO of 0.4 ug/I and a significant
concentration remained. But it too was estimated at reaching WQOs in a relatively short period
of time, hence the regulatory closure.
If you can, logon to this Geotracker page and you can view the some of the last gw data for
yourself. EVERYTHING I have or has been submitted to me is ON this website. There is no
other data for this site at the EHD.
check out Table 4 in this report attached here.
http> /geotracker,waterboards ca_gov/esi/upl_oads/geo_report/8367501378/--0607700499 PDF
get back in touch with me after you/your representative reviews this report or the Request For
Closure Report, also on Geotracker. If you still feel the need to meet with me, it can be
arranged.
sincerely,
Mike Infurna
From: Joseph Salazar[mailto:jsalazar@lbbslaw.com]
5/27/2011
