It is my understanding that these activities will not require any additional permitting (well installation or
destruction)through the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department. Adam Brown will contact you
first thin tomorrow morning.9 g Adam is available at(530) 906-4545. A description of the proposed well destruction
and installation activities is provided below:
RSI Drilling will abandon by"overdriIling"the 2" monitoring well 1 foot past the depth of the original
borehole. 8.25" outside diameter hollow stem augers will be used to drill out the well. Upon removal of the
original well materials RSI will tremie grout the borehole to ensure a proper seal. A new borehole will be
drilled approximately 5'from the original borehole for the installation of a replacement 2" monitoring well
with a total depth of 60'. The replacement well be constructed with specifications to match the original
well. All well materials will be placed via tremie pipe to ensure proper construction of the replacement
well.
Please call me with any questions or if you require a modification to the above scope of work.
Greg
Greg McIver
w
Senior Project Scientist
The Source Group,Inc.
Environmental Engineering, Hydrogeologic & Management Services
960 McCourtney Road, Suite F
Grass Valley, California 95949
530.272.4200 office
530.592.7755 mobile
www.thesour-cegroup.net
The materials transmitted by this electronic mail are confidential, are only for the use of the intended
recipient, and may also be subject to applicable privileges.
