If HNu readings indicate high concentrations (i.e. , above 5 ppm) , disposable items that were .onsite will be placed in a 55 gallon dram with other solid wastes for eventual disposal. Sampling Equipment: All equipment which comes onsite or in contact with potentially contaminated soils or water, including L_; soil and water sampling and sample preparation equipment, will be cleaned prior to and after each use on the project. Decontamination will consist of combinations of hot urater cleaning and/or detergent (trisod.ium phosphate) wash, water rinse, isopropanol f.,. rinse, and distilled water rinse. All equipment and materials will be decontaminated prior to any operations and between locations. All tools used for. sampling and packaging will be ice; decontaminated prior to the collection of each sample. Probes, adaptors, tubing, etc. , are to be delivered to the site in a clean condition. Pipe, tubing, adapter, and other equipment that will ,., be used at each sampling location will be cleaned prior to mobilization onsite. Between locations and at the completion of work, the equipment will again be cleaned. The drilling subcontractor will is decontaminate the equipment after use in the following manner. a. Scrape and remove all earthen materials from the equipment. b. Hose down equipment with a high-pressure, hot water washer. C. Collect scraped materials and place in 55-gallon 1 containers. e.
