Del Monte has reviewed and
approved of this report. The groundwater sample results and the groundwater flow
direction continue to be consistent with previous sampling events.
Due to the recent discovery of gasoline additives 1,2-DCA,EDB, and TBA in groundwater
samples collected at the Disco site, groundwater samples were collected from every .
monitoring well at the Disco site and analyzed for 1,2-DCA,EDB,and oxygenates during
this event. 1,2-DCA and EDB were detected in monitoring wells MW-DIS-1,NP-1-90',
NP-1-80',NP-1-70', and SVE-South. TBA was detected in SVE-North.
It is recommended that all wells at the site be sampled on a quarterly basis for 1,2-DCA,
EDB and TBA to assess the extent of these compounds at the site. Modifications to the
sampling plan will be made after four rounds of sampling for these compounds. The
sampling event presented in this report was the second round of sampling for these
compounds. Monitoring wells MW-DIS-1,MW-DIS-2,NP-1-70,-80,-90,SVE-South,and
SVE-North will continue to be sampled semi-annually for TPH-gas and BTEX.
Note:In order to continue the accurate assessment of the groundwater flow direction,
water level measurements in all wells, and evaluation of the groundwater gradient will
continue to-be performed on a quarterly basis.
If you have any questions or comments please feel free to call me at (510) 251-2888 ext. 2101,
or Richard Fish at 925-944-7276.
