SECTION 4 <br /> Field Activities and Results <br /> This section presents the field activities and results of the Disco Supplemental Investigation. <br /> Analytical groundwater results are presented in Table 1.Well construction details are <br /> presented in Table 2.CPT generated boring logs,monitoring well boring logs,well <br /> completion diagrams,monitoring well field sampling sheets and well development reports <br /> are included in Appendix A. Laboratory data sheets are included in Appendix B. <br /> 4.1 Field Activities <br /> The field activities were conducted on various dates between August 7h and December 13, <br /> 2001. <br /> The following is a brief account of the CPT boring activities that occurred within the <br /> aforementioned dates: <br /> • Seven CPT borings (CPT-16 through CPT-22) were installed between August 7th and <br /> August 13th,2001,downgradient and cross-gradient of the site (Figure 4-1) to assess the <br /> lateral extent of petroleum constituents in groundwater. <br /> Borings for lithologic description were installed to the following depths: <br /> • CPT-16,48,49,-20,and-21 was pushed to 150 feet bgs. <br /> • CPT-17 was pushed to a depth of 144 feet bgs. <br /> • CPT-22 was pushed to a total depth of 130 feet bgs. <br /> Borings for collection of groundwater samples were installed after the lithologic CPT <br /> borings.Successful sampling depths for each CPT boring can be found in Table 1. <br /> • Two borings(CPT-23 and-24)were installed on September 22nd and 23rd,2001, <br /> approximately 200 and 400 feet west of Filbert Street along the shoulder of Myrtle Street <br /> (Figure 4-1)to assess the lateral and vertical extent of petroleum constituents in <br /> groundwater. Borings for lithologic description were installed to 150 feet bgs. <br /> Borings for collection of groundwater samples were installed after the lithologic CPT <br /> borings. Exact sampling depths for each CPT boring can be found in Table 1. <br /> The following is a brief account of the monitoring well boring activities that occurred within <br /> the aforementioned dates. <br /> • Four monitoring wells(MW-DIS-11 through MW-DIS-14)were installed between <br /> October 29 and November 1,2001, to the following depths: <br /> • MW-DIS-11 was installed to a depth of 93 feet bgs. <br /> • MW-DIS-12 was installed to a depth of 91 feet bgs. <br /> • MW-DIS-13 was installed to a depth of 90 feet bgs. <br /> • MW-DIS-14 was installed to a depth of 110 feet bgs. <br /> SFOICPTMW_REPORT_KS_.DOC1003670036 4.1 <br />
