They have
signed a contract with a remediation contractor, and they are presently negotiating with
well drilling contractors. The San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District
has approved Del Monte's Authority to Construct Permit.
The current schedule of monitoring and remediation activities is presented on Table 3.
Construction of the AS/SVE system is scheduled to begin with the building permit approval
process and the purchase of long lead-time equipment. The building permit approval is
expected to take approximately 4 weeks. Quarterly sampling scheduled for October 1994
will serve as the baseline for evaluating ASISVE performance. Del Monte initially plans to
operate the system continuously for a period of approximately 15 weeks.
If you have any questions or comments, please call me at 510/251-2888 (ext. 2097) or
Bern Baumgartner (ext. 2118).
Sincerely,
CH2M HILL
zq
Grant L.
