organic Data Qualifiers
II -- Indicates the compound was analysed for but not detected.
The number adjacent to the ■Q" qualifier indicates the
reporting limit for that compound. The reporting limit
can vary from sample to sample depending on dilution
factors or percent moisture adjustments when indicated.
J --
Indicates an estimated value. It is used when the data
indicates the presence of a compound below the reporting
? limit.
C -- The NCO flag indicates the presence of this compound has
been confirmed by GC/M8 analysis.
B -- This flag is used when the analyte is found in the
associated blank as well as the sample. This notation
indicates possible blank contamination and suggests that
the data user evaluate these compounds and their amounts
carefully.
I
8 -- This flag indicates that the value reported exceeds the
linear calibration range for that compound. Therefore,
the sample should be re-analysed at an appropriate
dilution. The .g" qualified amount is an estimated
concentration, and the results of the dilution will be
i reported on a separate Form I.
D This qualifier indicates compounds which have been
identified during a diluted reanalysis. *D" qualifiers .
are used for samples that have been analysed initially at
a lesser dilution than required for accurate
quantitation.
l
P This qualifier is used for Pesticide/Arcelor target
analytes when there is a greater than -25% difference for
detected concentrations between the two GC columns. - The
lower of the two values is reported on Form I and flagged
with a "P.
I
N -- This qualifier indicates presumptive evidence of a
compound. This flag is only used for tentatively
identified ,compounds (TIC) , where the identification is
based on a mass spectral library search. It is applied
to all TIC results. For generic characterization of a
TIC, such as Chlorinated Hydrocarbon, the "N" qualifier -
is not used.
A -- This qualifier indicates that a TIC is -a suspected aldol-
condensation product.
i
f
i
QM1tY Anoty cl 54M CoterpUlar Rood, 91624d-=?
laboratories enc.
