04 May, 1998
Mr. Kai LUOMA
San Joaquin County , 'k14
Community Development Department
Development Services Division
1810 E. Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, California 95205
Dear Mr. LUOMA,
In re: Application Number: SA-96-9, Gurpal SIDHU, 3032 E. Waterloo Road, Stockton,
California 95205
I very much appreciate your assistance and guidance relative to my application
as indicated above. In that regard and pursuant to our conversation, I have
explained that I respectfully request that the condition also be modified
relative to the number of U-Haul trucks and trailers that I am allowed to have
on site. I was limited by the prior conditions to five trucks on the lot. As you
are able to see, my site is large and is essentially a full block long. As a
U-Haul licensee, I have no control regarding the numbers of trucks that are
returned to my facility at any given time. However, there is also a U-Haul
Service Center in Stockton and I am normally able to return excess numbers of
trucks or trailers within three days, as a result of weekends.
I would request that my license be modified to allow me to have a combination
of twelve (12) trucks and trailers on site for short periods of time. This would
allow that the service center come and retrieve excess numbers in a reasonable
period of time. I infrequently have that number but in peak moving months, I do
get that number of returns ocassionally.
The scale drawing enclosed indicates that I have more than adequate room to park
the combination of 12 trucks and trailers with plenty of room for yet additional
customer parking. I very much appreciate your consideration of this request.
Yours truly,
Gurpal SIDHU
Waterloo Feed & Fuel
3032 E.
