If bubbles are present <br /> the sample will be discarded and replaced. If it is not possible to collect a sample without <br /> headspace, the problem will be noted on the field technician's sampling log. <br /> Immediately following sample collection, samples will be labeled and stored in an ice chest <br /> containing frozen chemical ice sealed in plastic bags. Sample labels will contain the following <br /> information: <br /> ✓ date and time <br /> ✓ project ID <br /> ✓ sample ID <br /> ✓ name of sampler <br /> ✓ type of analysis to be performed <br /> All samples will be transported under chain-of-custody protocol to a state certified laboratory within <br /> 24 hours. A sample container filled in the laboratory with organic free water and carried unopened <br /> during the sampling trip will also be provided (Trip Blank).
