Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> RE: Quarterly Monitoring Report, January through March 1993, Site Code 1102, <br /> Smith's Canal Pump Plant, Fontana Street and Smith's Canal, Stockton, <br /> California <br /> Dear Ms. Turkatte: <br /> This letter report summarizes groundwater monitoring activities at the above referenced site <br /> (Figure 1) during the first quarter of 1993. These activities included monitoring fluid levels in <br /> all site wells and collecting groundwater samples for laboratory analysis. <br /> FIELD WORK <br /> On March 31, 1993, static fluid levels were measured in monitoring wells MW1, MW2, MW3, <br /> and MW4. The water table has risen an average of 4.18 feet since the previous quarter. This <br /> rise in the water table can be attributed to recharge due to a recent increase in rainfall. Table <br /> 1 summarizes the water level data collected this quarter and provides previous data for <br /> comparison. <br /> Water level measurements collected during this quarter indicate groundwater flows northwest, <br /> which is consistent with historical data. A groundwater gradient map was created using data <br /> collected from the March 31, 1993 monitoring event (Figure 2).
