Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> RE: Quarterly Monitoring Report, April through June 1992, Site Code 1102, Smith's <br /> Canal Pump Plant, Fontana Street and Smiths Canal, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Ms. Turkatte: <br /> This letter report summarizes groundwater monitoring activities at the above referenced site <br /> (Figure 1) during the second quarter of 1992. These activities included monitoring groundwater <br /> levels in all site wells, groundwater sampling and analysis, and removal of floating product from <br /> monitoring well MW4. <br /> FIELD WORK <br /> On May 29, June 11, and June 23, 1992, static fluid levels were measured in monitoring wells <br /> MW1, MW2, MW3, and MW4. A steady drop in water levels, averaging 1.5 feet, was noted <br /> during the quarter. <br /> Water level measurements collected during this quarter indicate groundwater flows consistently <br /> northwest. A groundwater gradient map was created using the June 23, 1992 monitoring data <br /> (Figure 2). The figure, created using a kriging program, depicts a northwesterly gradient of <br /> approximately 0.04 ft/ft.
