KLEINFELDER 1 INTRODUCTION Mr. Carl Ryalls of California Nuggets, Inc. contacted Kleinfelder requesting the preparation and implementation of a workplan for the installation of a groundwater monitoring well network for the existing wastewater storage ponds and spray application fields and assessing the vadose zone located at the facility in Ripon, San Joaquin County, California. The baseline assessment is being implemented in preparation of a Report of Waste Discharge (ROWD). The ROWD process has been initiated by California Nuggets, Inc. as a voluntary gesture to remain in compliance with State law. A workplan is generally required to address Waste Discharge Requirement (WDR) set forth by the Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB). This usually includes a baseline groundwater study including background/upgradient and downgradient quality at a site including evaluation of potential discharge limits. Kleinfelder is committed to providing quality service to our clients, commensurate with their needs and desired level of risk. If a portion of this workplan does not meet your needs or if those needs have changed, Kleinfelder will consider appropriate modifications, subject to the standards of care to which we adhere as professionals. Modifications such as changes in scope, methodology, scheduling, and contract terms and conditions may result in changes to the risks assumed by you our client, as well as adjustments to our fees.
