Construction Inspection
WKA No. 1628.09
Materir.'s besting
As required by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services(SJCPHS), we are
submitting this quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling report
summarizing our recent work at the subject property located at 404 West Fremont
Street in Stockton, California(Plate 1). The purpose of our work was to comply
with groundwater sampling requirements requested by SJCPHS.
.{
3
Most recent groundwater elevation measurements of the seven on-and offsite
monitoring wells MWl through MW7 were obtained on May 9,2000. Based on
' this most recent groundwater elevation measurement, depth to groundwater ranges
between 12.62 and 13.24 feet below grade(Table 1). The overall flow direction
beneath the site was calculated to be to the northeast with a variable gradient.
Groundwater contours for May 9, 2000 are presented on Plate 2.
Prior to sampling, the depth to groundwater was measured in each well using a
Solinst electronic water level indicator. The depth to groundwater measurements
was used to calculate the volume of water in each well. Once calculated,
approximately three well volumes of water were purged from each well using a
two-inch submersible pump until temperature, pH, and conductivity readings
stabilized and/or the water cleared of sediment. The water samples were then
collected through the sampling pump. Sample water pumped from the wells was
poured into appropriate sample containers provided by the laboratory.
The samples were immediately placed in an ice-chest with ice and submitted under
CORPORATE OFFICE chain-of-custody to a California-certified laboratory for analysis of Total
3050 ,Justrial Blvd. Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) as gasoline using EPA test method 8015
West Sacramento modified,Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene and Total Xylenes (BTEX)using EPA
CA 95691 test method 8020/602 and Tert-Butanol Methyl tent-Bu 1 Ether, Di-isopropyl
Tel 916.372.1434 y J
Fax 916.372.2565 Ether, Ethyl tert-Butyl Ether, and Tert-Amyl methyl Ether(oxygenates)using EPA
Method 8260B.
ROCKLIN OFFICE
500 Memo Drive,
Suite 100 The submersible pump was cleaned with a solution of Liqui-nox and water prior to
RocA.'n,CA 95765 purging each well to minimize the potential for cross-contamination.
