The wells will serve the Riverbrook development of about 2000 connections; thus, the maximum day water demand will be about 3000 gpm. To serve this need, we expect to construct 3 to 5 wells tapping the same aquifers providing water to the City of Riverbank. Because of the chance of contaminant movement through recent river alluvium, we expect to extend the sanitary seals as necessary so as to terminate each in a thick clay stratum below river alluvium. We envision the surface facilities to be conventional with provisions for adding chlorination if found to be necessary. The wells are out of the 100-year flood plane. We have not assessed the reliability of the power supply(s) in the area to determine what type of standby power facilities would be appropriate. On this issue, we would like input from DOHS on reliability/standby power criteria. Because local municipal water use data (i.e. , Riverbank data) are expected to be different form those for this golf course development, we are proposing to base our preliminary source capacity/storage analyses on the Title 22 standards. We are proposing to irrigate the golf course with shallow, agricultural wells which already exist on-site.
