'This workplan was prepared
on behalf of Mr. Louis Lechich of the Valley Showcase Company in response to your May 26, -
1999 directive that this workplan be completed. Mr. Lechich is currently receiving corrective 11
action reimbursement from the State of California Underground Storage Tank Cleanup`Fund.
HISTORY K z_
In February 1988, an underground fuel,storage tank was removed from the property*(see
Figure 2). During the removal of the tank, gasoline was no-ted-in the soil within the tank
excavation. Soil sample analyses indicated the-presence of total petroleum hydrocarbons'as
gasoline (TPHg) in the subsurface soils to a depth of at least 16 feet. The.San Joaquin County- 1
Public Health District (San Joaquin County) subsequently issued a directive to-further assess 1
the extent of soil and ground-water contamination. }
In March 1994, three groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1, MW-2 and MW-3) were installed at
the site in the vicinity of the former tank location (see figure 3). Each well was'installed.to a
depth of approximately 30 feet below ground surface (bgs), and screened between the depths
of approximately 15 feet and 30 feet bgs. - -
During installation of the wells; evidence of soil contamination was noted in well borehole MW-
2 to a depth of approximately 20 feet. At that time, the depth to the water,table was measured
11350 Monier Park Place, Rancho Cordova, CA 95742 Tel: 916.853.8025 Fax: .916.853.8029 - 1
. . -
