LIGHTING: Lighting shall be provided and comply with the following: <br /> (1) If the parking area is to be used at night, parking lot and security lighting shall be installed. <br /> (Development Title Section 9-1015.5[g]) <br /> (2) Any lighting shall be designed to confine direct rays to the premises. No spillover beyond the <br /> property lines shall be permitted except onto public thoroughfares, provided, however, that <br /> such light shall not cause a hazard to motorists. (Development Title Section 9-1015.5[g][4]) <br /> g. LANDSCAPING: Landscaping shall be provided and comply with the following: <br /> (1) All areas not used for buildings, parking, driveways, walkways, approved outdoor storage <br /> areas, or other permanent facilities shall be landscaped. At a minimum, a ten (10) foot wide <br /> planting strip is required along Wilcox Road. The strip shall be continuous except where <br /> crossed by driveways and walkways. (Development Title Section 9-1020.8) <br /> (2) The parking area shall be provided with a minimum of five percent(5%) of landscaping within the <br /> perimeter of the parking area, not including landscaping along the street frontage. A minimum of <br /> three(3)trees shall be planted and evenly spaced throughout the parking lot. (One tree is <br /> required for every five (5) parking spaces.) UNIFORM FIRE CODE: The following Uniform Fire Code and San Joaquin County Ordinance Code <br /> requirements will be applicable and shall be incorporated in the Site Plan before submittal to the <br /> Community Development Department for a building permit: <br /> (1) Fire flow and hydrants will be provided for the proposed project by the use of: <br /> A. Appendix III-A and III-B of the California Fire Code; or <br /> B. NFPA 1142 of the National Fire Code <br /> (2) Fire sprinkler systems shall be installed according to Article 10 of the California Fire Code and <br /> the appropriate standards and guides adopted in Chapter 35 of the California Building Code and <br /> the California Electrical Code. <br /> (3) Key Boxes:A knox box shall be installed according to local fire department's instructions. <br /> (4) Fire extinguishers shall be installed in accordance with California Fire Code, Volume 2, Standard <br /> 10-1. <br /> (5) Fire permits may be required prior to occupancy to conduct operations hazardous to life or <br /> property.
