GP-98-6 AND ZONE RECLASSIFICATION NO.ZR-00- <br /> OF JAMES KJENSRUD (C/O SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br /> DEPARTMENT): A General Plan Amendment to change the existing Rural Residential land use <br /> designation (R/R)to Limited Industrial (I/L), and a Zone Reclassification to change the existing zone <br /> from Rural Residential (R-R)to Warehouse (I-W), on a 1.03-acre parcel. The project site is located <br /> on the north side of Linne Road, 1900 feet east of MacArthur Drive, south of Tracy (Supervisorial <br /> District 5). <br /> Chandler Martin, Senior Planner, introduced the staff report into the record. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING OPENED: <br /> PROPONENTS: <br /> Dave Olmstead (23950 S. Chrisman Road,Tracy), representing the applicant, said this is an agricultural <br /> welding shop that has been out of compliance. The property was zoned R-R in 1988, but the zone change <br /> was overlooked by the applicant. He called Supervisor Cabral and asked him what to do. Mr. Cabral said <br /> they had some cleanup programs they were doing and would act to change the zone to allow the use. <br /> OPPONENTS: <br /> None were present. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING CLOSED: <br /> MOTION: <br /> k was r�noved, secoilucd gvlor,J'El.;y), and passed b,a unanimous roll call vote (7-0)to: <br /> 1. Approve the Negative Declaration; <br /> 2. Forward General Plan Application No. GP-98-6 to the Board of Supervisors with a recommendation <br /> for approval based upon the ability to make the required "Basis for General Plan Amendment;" and <br /> 3.
