File No.: 20-1156-89
January 30 , 1990
Page 3
holes were set up in the same manner as described above.
Our representative performed the percolation tests the following day. For
deeper percolation tests, San Joaquin County requires a minimum percolation
rate of 30 minutes per inch. The results of these tests indicate that at 10
feet the percolation rates for each of the lots met or exceeded San Joaquin
County standards. For your information we have attached the field data
sheets from all the percolation tests to this report.
Item C-3:
The depth and gradient of the groundwater table.
At the time the deeper percolation tests were set up our firm also drilled
three test borings to depths between 50 and 60 feet below the ground
surface. Logs of the three test borings are attached on Plates III through V
and the locations are shown on Plate I. At the time the holes were drilled
groundwater was measured at depths of 46 to 48 feet below the existing
ground surface. In order to establish groundwater gradient, the ground
surface at the boring locations was measured using survey equipment.
Presented below is a summary of the survey information and groundwater
readings. Since gradient only was desired, we selected as a datum of 100.0
feet the ground level at Boring 3.
