Some of these projects include the Mokelumne River Water Quality Program <br /> (ongoing), the Mokelumne River Watershed Wildlife Monitoring Program <br /> (ongoing),the Lower Mokelumne River Feasibility Study(to 2009),the Lower <br /> Mokelumne River Watershed Riparian Vegetation Monitoring Program(ongoing), <br /> and the Central Valley Habitat Joint Venture. <br /> Our proposal involves cooperation with the following collaborating <br /> organizations: The California Department of Fish and Game, San Joaquin County, <br /> the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service, and the East <br /> Bay Municipal Utility District. With the approval of the above mentioned agencies <br /> this applicant will initiate efforts to protect high quality riparian habitat, implement <br /> riparian restoration activities and reduce or eliminate invasive plant species from this <br /> riparian corridor on the two referenced parcels. <br /> A 2003 summary report of incidents logged by the San Joaquin County <br /> Sheriff's Department over a period of 12 months for the aforementioned property <br /> indicates the following: There were a total of 19 calls reported for this property <br /> with this governmental agency alone. Please note that these calls were logged after a <br /> barrier gate was installed at the Woodbridge Irrigation District Canal crossing. <br /> Additionally a survey of foot and motor traffic was done over an eight hour <br /> time period at this property in early 2004. This applicant recorded during this period <br /> the following: two-three wheel ATV/s with persons traveling from north Stockton; <br /> three bicyclists who had passed through 2 locked gates to enter the property; and 9 <br /> people on foot. <br />
