Fine metal powders may contain hazardous metals such as chromium, copper or zinc. Use absorbent may <br /> contain used oil,which must be handled as hazardous waste. <br /> Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately make a <br /> hazardous waste determination for the used absorbent and the metal fines and manage it according the Title 22 <br /> hazardous waste regulations. <br /> Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed. Provide disposal <br /> records to this department. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 105 CCR 66262.34(d)(2)No emergency coordinator. <br /> The modified contingency plan, posted by the superintendent office, had listed emergency coordinators that were <br /> not up to date. Please complete and update all information on the contingency plan immediately. <br /> There must be at least one emergency coordinator on site or on call to coordinate emergency response measures, <br /> and the following information must be posted by a phone:the name and phone number of the emergency <br /> coordinator; location of fire extinguishers, spill control equipment, and if present,fire alarm; and the phone number <br /> of the fire department, unless the facility has a direct alarm. <br /> Immediately appoint an emergency coordinator and post the required information by a phone. A form is provided <br /> that can be used for this purpose. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 110 CCR 66262.40(a) Failed to keep signed copy of manifests from the designated facility for three years. <br /> A copy of the hazardous waste manifest 000156950 DAT, dated Sept 23, 2016,for 1200lbs of used oil was not <br /> found on site. <br /> Copies of uniform manifests for the disposal of hazardous waste should be kept on site.
