I <br /> 2.0 APPLICABILITY <br /> T}fA nttrnnce ..F ♦L.t <br />� plan, which was developed specifically for operations <br /> I' <br /> at the facility, is to assign responsibilities, establish <br /> r personal protection standards and mandatory safety procedures, and provide for <br /> contingencies that may arise while operations are being conducted at the site. <br /> i This plan complies with, but does not replace, Federal Health and Safety <br /> r Regulations as set forth in 29 CFR 1910 and 1926, California Health and Safety <br /> LRegulations as set forth in Title 8, California Code of Regulations, and guidance <br /> established by the California Department of Health Services. This plan is to be <br /> used by Dames & Moore personnel as a supplementl,lto such rules, regulations, and <br /> guidance. <br /> I . <br /> The provisions of the plan are mandatory for all onsite Dames & Moore <br /> employees engaged in hazardous material managelent activities associated with <br /> this project which may involve health and safety hazards. <br /> Changing and/or unanticipated site conditi� ons may require modification of <br /> this site safety plan in order to maintain a safe and healthful work environment. <br /> Any proposed changes to this plan should be reviewed with the Dames & Moore <br /> Division Health and Safety Manager, or his designee, prior to their <br /> implementation. If this is not feasible, the site/project manager may modify the <br /> plan and record all changes in the field log book; under no circumstances will <br /> li <br /> modifications to this plan conflict with Federal, state, or local health and <br /> safety regulations. <br /> Dames & Moore is providing a copy of thisi Health and Safety Plan to each <br /> site subcontractor in order to fulfill its obligation under 29 CFR <br /> 1910.120(b)(15) to inform subcontractors of site hazards.
