1.0 Introduction <br /> This Health and Safe Plan HASP was prepared b IT Corporation IT for the soil <br /> Safety (HASP) P P Y rp ( } <br /> remediation activities to be conducted at the Pacific Gas and Electric(Company) Stockton <br /> Service Center, Stockton, California(Site)as detailed in the Work Plan. This HASP was <br /> prepared in accordance with guidelines set forth in Title 29 Code of Federal Regulations, <br /> Part 1910.120 (29 CFR 1910.120) and Title 8 Code of California Regulations, Section 5192 <br /> (8 CCR 5192). The provisions of this HASP apply to all IT personnel involved in the field <br /> E <br /> activities associated with this project. The health and safety guidelines and requirements <br /> presented herein are based on a review of available information and an evaluation of potential <br /> hazards. This plan describes the health and safety procedures and equipment required for <br /> activities at the Site to minimize the potential for exposures to field personnel. Should <br /> circumstances during the course of fieldwork be extraordinarily different than anticipated, <br /> fieldwork shall be temporarily stopped, so that potential hazards can be evaluated and <br /> appropriate health and safety precautions implemented. j <br /> � <br /> The objective of this HASP is to provide guidance to ensure that safe working conditions exist at <br /> the Site. <br /> This HASP establishes minimum standards of performance regarding safety during the course of <br /> work on the project. The prevention ofob-related injuries and illnesses may require additional <br /> w <br />{ <br /> safety devices and/or procedures beyond these minimum standards. 'The Health and Safety <br /> Officer(HSO) will alert contractors if additional safety, health, or.security devices or procedures <br /> are required.
