' 25 February 2005
• AGE-NC Project No. 98-0500/04-1127
' Page 7of7
• The vertical assessment of the TPH and BTEX compounds and the dissolved 1,2-DCA
' plume has been completed with the installation of the last two wells. Current information
indicates that the vertical limit of 1,2-DCA does not exceed 200 feet bsg, at the former
dispenser area.
' The lateral and vertical migration routes of the dissolved (1,2-DCA) plumes have been
readily assessed and only defined to the southeast of the site. The northern definition of the
dissolved 1,2-DCA plume needs to be completed, although current concentrations throughout
' the plume appear stable over the monitoring period.
5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
' Based on the findings of this investigation, AGE recommends:
• Continued quarterly ground water monitoring, including the most recently installed wells.
' • Installation of a multilevel monitoring well network, as previously proposed. The wells
should be installed at locations which do not readily exhibit significant, shallow dissolved
• contamination to prevent the potential for cross-contamination. A proposed work plan is
attached in Appendix G.
6.0. LIMITATIONS
' Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings were based mainly
upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory. Evaluations of the hydrogeologic
conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are made from a limited number of
available data points(i.e.soil and ground water samples),and subsurface conditions may vary away
from these data points. No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the professional
interpretations, opinions and recommendations contained in this report.
•
' Advanced GeoEnviron mental,Inc.
