1
Site Assessment Work Plan - Multi-Level Monitoring Well Installation
• S g
' RIVER CITY PETROLEUM/CONNELL MOTOR LIFT TRUCK
2211 North Wilson Way, Stockton, California
' 1.0. INTRODUCTION
' At the request of Ms.Heckman of Connell Lift Truck,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.(AGE)has
prepared this Site Assessment Work Plan for the RIVER CITY PETROLEUM/CONNELL MOTOR
LIFT TRUCK location at 2211 North Wilson Way, Stockton, California. (site). The work plan has
' been prepared at the request of the California Regional Water Quality Control Board-Central Valley
Region(CVRWQCB)by letters dated 29 November 2004.
' At the direction of the CRWQCB, the releases which occurred at the site will be mitigation
contemporaneously. The work plan was prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the
CVRWQCB for the subsurface investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites. The site
location and site plan are illustrated on Figures 1 and 2. Site background information is included for
the stoddard release area is included in Appendix A.
' The vertical and lateral extent of soil and ground water contamination has been generally defined,
except for low concentrations of the solvent 1,2-dichloroethane(1,2-DCA)west of the former UST
'• dispenser area.The scope of work includes the installation and monitoring of multi-level monitoring
wells west/southwest of the former UST dispensers and west,north, south of the monitoring wells
in the building.Based on the current distribution of the 1,2-DCA,the justification for the work will
' be to encompass the known 1,2-DCA distribution, both vertically and laterally. The most cost-
effective and sensible method to reduce well installation costs remains the installation of fewer wells,
which will provide adequate information for site assessment and satisfy future closure criteria.
2.0. SCOPE OF WORK
The proposed scope of work will include the following tasks:
' • Pre-field work activities;
• Installation of multi-level wells;
' • Well development, ground water sample collection and analysis and;
• Report preparation
' 2.1. PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES
Upon CVRWQCB approval of this work plan, AGE will secure all relevant San Joaquin County
' Environmental Health Department (EHD)Building permits or regional permits and prepare an
Advanced GcoEnvironmental,Inc.
