Quarterly Report - Third Quarter 2003
• FORMER CONNELL MOTOR LIFT TRUCK
2211 North Wilson Way, Stockton, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr. Sheldon Heckman and Ms. Kama Harrigfeld, Esq., Advanced
' GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this quarterly report for the property located at
2211 North Wilson Way, Stockton, California(the site). The scope of work included conducting a
quarterly ground water monitoring event and preparation of this report. The site setting is illustrated
on Figure 1. Site structures, soil boring and monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2.
The objective of this investigation was to monitor the vertical and horizontal extent of dissolved
petroleum hydrocarbons on the site.A summary of previous investigations of the site is included in
Appendix A.The procedures for the site investigation were outlined in the AGE-prepared Additional
Site Assessment Work Plan, dated 19 May 2000, and approved by the California Regional Water
Quality Control Board- Central Valley Region (RWQCB)by letter dated 13 November 2000.
2.0. PROCEDURES
' • On 09 July 2003,ground water monitoring and sampling were performed.Field work was performed
in accordance with guidelines established by the RWQCB for subsurface investigation of
contaminated sites.
' 2.1. WELL MONITORING AND PURGING
The depth to ground water in each well was measured to the nearest 0.01 foot from the top of the
well casing utilizing a Solinst water level meter. The ground water elevation was calculated by
' subtracting the measured depth to ground water from the surveyed casing elevation(Table 1).
' After water levels were measured, dedicated disposable bailers were utilized to purge between 2.25
and 2.5 gallons of ground water (a minimum of three casing-water volumes per well) from wells
MW-1 through MW-5, MW-8 and MW-9. A set of dedicated Waterra inertial bailers were used to
' purge approximately 23.5 gallons of ground water from wells MW-6 and MW-7, between 14 and
14.5 gallons of ground water from wells MW-10 through MW-13, and approximately 37.5 gallons
of ground water from wells MW-14 through MW-16. OW-1 and OW-2 were purge of 2.5 gallons
' of ground water with dedicated disposable bailers.
Temperature,pH and conductivity were measured for stabilization at regular purge-volume intervals
' using an Oakton water analyzer/meter. Field data and logs are provided in Appendix B. Purged
ground water was containerized in 55-gallon drums and was stored on-site,pending proper disposal.
' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
1
