26 September 2003
• AGE-NC Project No. 98-0500
• 1,2-DCA was detected in seven samples at concentrations ranging from 2.1 µg/1 to 27 µ9/1.
' The lateral extent of 1,2-DCA has not been defined to the north for the intermediate- and
deep-screened ground water intervals; the eastern boundary has not been defined, but high
1,2-DCA concentrations detected at the former River City Petroleum UST area 150 feet to
the east suggest that the former UST area may be the source for the 1,2-DCA.
• Various other VOCs were present in low concentrations in ground water samples OW-1,
OW-2, MW-5, MW-10, MW-13 and MW-15, with the exception of well OW-1 are stable
concentrations when compared to historical data.
5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the findings of this investigation, AGE recommends:
• Continue quarterly ground water monitoring. The next monitoring event is scheduled for
October 2003.
• AGE submitted a Corrective Action Plan, as required by the RWQCB by letter dated
' • 19 August 2002.Upon approval by the RWQCB,AGE recommends implementation of the
corrective action plan to mitigate TPH/BTEX-impacted soil.
6.0. LIMITATIONS
' OurP rofessional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings were based mainly
upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory. Evaluations of the hydrogeologic
conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are made from a limited number of
available data points(ground water samples),and subsurface conditions may vary away from these
' data points. No other warranty, expressed or implied,is made as to the professional interpretations,
opinions and recommendations contained in this report.
1
•
' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
