All personnel on-site will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment as described <br /> in the specific Section of this HASP . A fire extinguisher will be placed in open view on <br /> site . <br /> Appropriate action will be taken to avoid the spread of dust to occupied portions of the <br /> surrounding area . Water spray will be used for dust control in such a manner as to not <br /> result in a hazardous or objectionable condition . Compliance will be in accordance with <br /> the Air Pollution Control District governing this area . <br /> UTILITIES : <br /> All related and non-related utilities above and below ground in the work area will be <br /> located by Underground Service Alert (811 ) , and visual search methods . If possible , the <br /> i <br /> utilities directly related will be shut-off and disconnected prior to beginning the work. <br /> PAVEMENT : <br /> Concrete and asphalt will be removed by breaking it with a jackhammer equipped with a <br /> pneumatic attachment, and loaded into a dump truck for proper recycling and/or disposal , <br /> or stockpiled on site for future removal . <br /> CLEAN-UP <br /> Debris and rubbish will be removed daily or stored out of the way in a separate location <br /> inside the fenced work area. Debris and rubbish will be transported in a manner that will <br /> help prevent spillage . <br /> GENERAL HEALTH AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS <br /> PERSONNEL TRAINING REQUIREMENTS <br /> Consistent with the OSHA 29 CFR 1910 . 120 Regulation covering Hazardous Waste <br /> Operation and Emergency Response , all TAIT site personnel are required to be trained in <br /> accordance with this standard and provide current certification of this training prior to <br /> working on TAIT job sites . <br /> The SSHO will verify that each TAIT employee has been trained and provide <br /> certification for the following : <br /> • HAZWOPER Training either 40 hour or 8 hour refresher <br /> • Confined Space Training <br /> • Respiratory Fit Testing <br /> 0 Basic First Aid and CPR <br />
