Brovelli Woods Page 4 of 9
Our Project Number: LGS080537
August 31, 2008
4.3 Water Sample Location
One domestic well exists on the site. One permit was found during a recent file review at EHD.
A well water sample was taken on August 27, 2008 by Jessen Welch from the domestic well on
the site. The results from this test are forthcoming.
4.4 Water Sample Constituents
The results of the well water sample analysis are forthcoming.
4.5 Well Water Sample Collection, Handling, and Transportation
The sample for nitrate was collected in a sterile plastic container; the sample for DBCP was
collected in two sterile glass vials. The samples were then transported on ice and remanded
under chain of custody to FGL Environmental, Stockton.
4.6 Chain of Custody
The Chain of Custody documentation has been included in the appendix of this report.
5.0 SOIL PROFILE AND GEOLOGIC INFORMATION
The Site is depicted on the California Geologic Survey Map of the San Francisco-San Jose
Quadrangle as within the Quaternary Riverbank Formation. The Quaternary Modesto Formation
(undifferentiated) is a unit of undifferentiated alluvial deposits, mainly arkosic, forming the toe
of the Mokelumne alluvial fan, generally covered by 0.3 to 1.0 m of Holocene intertidal deposits
(Plate 5).
The surface and near surface soils located at the Site are reported by the San Joaquin County
Soil Survey to be composed of San Joaquin Loam and Xerofluvents, both 0-2% slopes (Plate 6)
(USDA, 1992). The table below presents some selected properties of these soils:
Table 1
San Joaquin County Soil Survey
Elected Soil Properties of On-Site Soils
Soil Name Depth Unified Soil Salinity Soil Perme- Septic tank
and Map mmhos Reaction ability absorption
Symbol (in) Classification /cm pH (in/hr) fields
0-16 Loam; CL-ML, ML <2 5.6 - 6.5 0.6 - 2.0 Severe:
San Joaquin cemented pan,
16-26 Clay loam, clay; CL <2 6.1 - 7.8 <0.06
238percolates
26-60 Indurated --- --- slowly
"044
902 Industrial Way- Lodi,CA 95240-209.367.3701 - Fax 209.369.4228 (c2008 Nei/0.Anderson&Associates, hic
