5.4 Discussion of soil lithology as related to future onsite septic uses: The soil classified as Archerdale clay loam in this area has a permeability that is slow. The soils classified as finrod clay loam and vignolo silty clay loam in this area have a permeability that is moderate. The percolation rates were 27.8 min/in. and 31.3 min/in. (See Appendix.) 6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION 6.1 Site map showing the location, with concise and accurate dimensions of the percolation test holes on the parcel: See Appendix. 6.2 The minimum number of shallow and deep percolation tests were performed for each parcel: Two shallow percolation test holes were prepared for this application. 6.3 Description of the date, time and protocol used to prepare the test hole, including depth and dimensions of hole, preparation of hole, and depth of water used to presoak (minimum 12 inches): The shallow test holes were excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 8 inches in diameter and backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel" in accordance with County Standards. The shallow holes were prepared by Joel Montano of Dillon&Murphy, on October 12, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. On October 13, 2019 at 7:30 a.m. the 24 hours presoak period was started. The holes were filled with 12 inches of water over the gravel at this time. 6.4 Description of the date, time and condition of the test hole after the 24-hour soak period (hole still intact,hole dry,preparation of hole,and depth of water used to presoak(minimum 12 inches): On October 14, 2019 at 7:30 a.m. the two shallow test holes were dry. Six inches of water was added to the holes and the holes were deemed suitable to continue. The shallow tests passed the minimum County requirements. 6.5 The test conformed to SJC Policy EH 02-02(correct depth,diameter,2" gravel,6" water refill,correct readings recorded). The percolation tests conformed to San Joaquin County Policy EHD 02-02. 6.6 Complete Percolation Test Form (including readings) was provided with REHS verification signature. The rate was correctly calculated using the last reading. See Appendix for Test Results Form. In this area, the soils are classified as Archerdale clay loam, finrod clay loam, and vignolo silty clay loam. Due to this classification and percolation rate, a standard septic system would be recommended on subject parcel. 3
