PHS/EHD has the following comments for your
consideration.
The analytical results from samples collected on July 12, 1994 did not indicate groundwater
contamination. The extent of soil contamination has been defined previously as indicated
in PHS/EHD correspondence dated June 1, 1993 in which PHS/EHD requested that the
feasibility of the remedial options proposed be evaluated. Furthermore,PHS/EHD indicated
that an additional monitoring wells would be necessary to determine the groundwater
gradient and flow direction. In December 1993, two additional monitoring wells were
installed and gradient information was subsequently obtained.
Please submit by December 1, 19%, a corrective action plan as required by the California
Underground Storage Tank Regulations, Title 23, Division 3, Chapter 16, California Code
of Regulations.
If you have any questions or wish to schedule a site inspection, please contact Mary Meays,
Senior REHS, of my staff at (209) 468-0337.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Mary Meays, Senior REHS Diane . . son, REHS
Site Mitigation Unit Supervisor
MM11400WATE
c: Elizabeth Thayer, CVRWQCB c: Francis R.
