Dear Ms. Meays: <br /> IT Corporation (IT) was retained to abandon six groundwater monitoring wells and one vapor <br /> observation point located at the Lipton (formerly Van den Bergh Foods Company) facility. <br /> I� The well abandonment was required to conclLlde the corrective actions at the leaking <br /> underground storage tank (UST) site (Site Code 22073) located at the facility. <br /> Summary of Field Activities <br /> A well abandonment permit application was procured from San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) prior to the initiation of field work, and <br /> A is included as Appendix A. A total of seven Schedule 40 PVC wells were abandoned at the <br /> site (Figure 1).
