3 ;
JUL-03-41 15:30 Fram:l T CORPORATION 5102282541 T-683 P 03/06 : -111
IIsI'EEI'.NAMNAL TECHNOLOGY GORFORATJON
Ms. Mary Ways 2 July 2, 1997
located in Pacheco, California, for TPH as diesel analysis. An Analysis Request and Chain-of-
Cuslody(ARCO)record accompanied the sample. The sample was analyzed for TPH as diesel using
modified EPA method 8415.
$CIWI
The average groundwater depth measured in the wells was 50.48 feet, which indicated an average
rise in the groundwater at the site of 9.69 feet since August 1996. The well casing elevations were
previously surveyed relative to an arbitrary bench mark at the site that was set to 100.00 feet.
Relative to the bench mark, the water table elevation at the site varied between 47.26 feet and 49.13
feet in June 1997. Groundwater was inferred to flow north-westerly in the three shallow monitoring
wells and north-easterly in the throe deep monitoring wells. A summary of the current and historical
groundwater data is provided in Table 1.
The groundwater analytical result did not indicate any TPH as diesel above the detection limit of 50
pg/L. The laboratory quality control data was determined to be acceptable_ The laboratory report
is provided as Appendix A.
Conclusions&nd RWQMmendations
This report supplements the Site Closure Report generated for the site by IT in June 1997, The
absence of TPH as diesel in the groundwater at MW-4 confirms historical sampling results, and
therefore no further corrective action is recommended at this site. Upon approval from the San
Joaquin County PHS&M,the monitoring wells should be abandoned in accordance with California
state and local guidelines.
Should you have further questions, please do not hesitate to call Mr.Frank Yoneshige at(209)467-
2225 or myself at(510)372-5253.
Sincerely,
Linos Farias
Project Manager
Attachments
CC" Ms. Elizabeth Thayer, Central Valley RViWQCB
Mr.Frank Yoneshige,Lipton
Mr. Bud Kopp, Lipton
rr corpaQ,iCon is a wnaQy'0Wara-'tUaU W at Mmnmo ra!rt•i„.1fiW CCWPCW 4vr
