1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This report presents the results of the work performed to date by Groundwater Technology, Inc. at <br /> Beacon Station No. 474, located at the intersection of East Main Street and Broadway, In Stockton, <br /> California (Figure 1) The work steps detailed in this report were completed in accordance with the <br /> Ultramar Inc.Scope of Work for Real Estate Divestment Prefects dated January 22, 1981. In brief,the <br /> work steps Included drilling,logging and sampling three soil borings,and analysis of soil samples. The <br /> scope of work was designed to determine if petroleum hydrocarbons from the underground storage <br /> tanks have impacted soil or groundwater beneath the site. WI work was conducted in accordance with <br /> San Joaquin County Department of Environmental Resources and California Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board -Central Valley Region guidelines. <br /> 1.1 Background <br /> The subject site Is located'n the City of Stockton,San Joaquin County,at an elevation of approximately <br /> 22 feet above mean sea level. The statim is currently dispensing gasoline from three lo,000•gallon <br /> underground storage tanks installed in 1956.
