Groundwater Sampling Report, April 2, 1993 for additional data and information <br /> Groundwater monitoring well MW-4 has been sampled on a quarterly basis since October 1992 <br /> 1 <br /> 3.0 PURPOSE AND SCOPE <br />' The purpose of the installation of the additional groundwater monitoring wells was to determine <br /> the direction of groundwater flow, determine groundwater gradient and provide additional <br /> tsampling points for groundwater monitoring <br /> BSK & Associates performed the drilling and soil sampling services under their Water Well <br />' Contractor's License C-57 #490942 The overall performance of this scope of services was under <br /> the direction of a California Registered Civil Engineer <br />' The BSK scope of services performed for the additional characterization included the following <br /> • Work Plan and drilling permit application submitted to San Joaquin County Public <br /> Health Services Environmental Health Division (SJPHS) for review and approval, <br /> • Underground Service Alert (USA) notified 48 hours before commencement of <br />' subsurface drilling, <br /> Field operations performed under the guidelines presented in the BSK prepared <br /> Health and Safety Plan, <br /> • Installation and development of two additional groundwater monitoring wells, <br />' Quarterly groundwater sampling and analysis of the two additional groundwater <br /> monitoring wells and one existing groundwater monitoring well, <br />' Report preparation which summaries the work performed, analytical methods <br /> used, chemical data and findings <br /> t4.0 GROUNDWATER MONITORING WELLS <br /> INSTALLATION AND DEVELOPMENT <br />' A BSK geologist under direct supervision of a Registered Civil Engineer was present during <br /> drilling, soil sampling and groundwater sampling <br /> The locations of the installed groundwater monitoring wells (MW-5 and MW-6) are presented <br /> on Figure 2, Site Plan Drilling was accomplished with a Mobile Drill B-53 truck-mounted rig <br /> with 8-inch hollow stem auger Soil samples were collected at 10-foot intervals by driving a 14 <br /> I D sampler, 12 inches into relatively undisturbed soil The soil samples were only collected for <br /> the purpose of soil classification <br /> Augers and drill rods were cleaned with a high-pressure, high-temperature cleaner before and <br /> after each bore hole The equipment was washed in a polyethylene-lined containment basin The <br />' 2 <br />' •ssociates <br />
