3.0 Summary of Findings
3.1 Site Hydrogeology
The well casing elevations were surveyed relative to an arbitrary bench mark at the site that
was set to 100 00 feet The water table measured on August 9, 1995 was between 31 98 feet
and 34 52 feet (corresponding to depths between 63 82 feet and 66 30 feet) A summary of
groundwater elevation data is provided in Table 1 A potentiometric surface map for the site
(Figure 2) indicates that the groundwater flows roughly to the north at a gradient between
0 013 and 0 023 ft/ft
r3.2 Groundwater Quality Data
Groundwater samples were collected from three monitoring wells (MW-4, MW-5, and MW-
6) Groundwater from MW-5 and MW-6 yielded TPH as diesel at concentrations of 84
micrograms per liter (µg11) and 210 µg11 respectively None of the samples yielded
concentrations of TPH as gasoline or BTEX above the method detected limits. No detectable
concentrations of the target analytes were identified in the quality control sample collected
The quality control report from the laboratory was also determined to be acceptable
Table 2 provides a summary of the groundwater analytical results The Certified laboratory
results are provided in Appendix C
MZ/09-20-95/VDBF/95-0027 NBR 3-1
