Number P92219.3 <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> 1601 Hazelton Avenue <br /> Stockton, CA 94566 <br /> Attention: Ms Mary Ways <br /> Subject: Addendum to Work Plan Dated September 16, 1992 <br /> Drilling and Soil Sampling <br /> Van Den Bergh Foods, Inc. <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Dear Ms. Meays- <br /> As requested, BSK & Associates has prepared this ,Addendum to the Work Plan <br /> for further drilling and soil sampling activities at the above referenced site. <br /> Enclosed is a drilling permit apphcation and a check in the amount of $ 89.00. <br /> PURPOSE D S <br /> The purpose of the drilling and soil sampling would be to provide additional <br /> characterization of the lateral extent of petroleum contaminant migration from an <br /> underground storage tank (UST) release in the soil. <br /> The proposed method for additional characterization would utilize the followmg <br /> methods: <br /> 1. LWIUg and Soil Samplin <br /> The general methods of drilling would be as stated in the Work Plan, dated <br /> September 16, 1992. Four borings would be drilled in the area <br /> surrounding the former tanks location (The locations are presented on the <br /> attached Site Plan). Sampling would be attempted at approximate 10-foot <br /> intervals to a depth of 45 feet whereupon samples would be collected at <br /> approximate 5-foot intervals to a depth of 75 feet. The samples would be <br /> stored in a cooler with ice until shipment to the analytical laboratory. <br /> Shipment would be accomplished with the samples in a cooler with dry ice. <br /> Geotechnical Engineering • Engineering Geology •Environmental Services•Construction inspection &Testing •Analytical Testing <br />
